Frequently Asked Questions

Our garages mostly have two types of doors. Many have roller-shutter doors, we also have wooden doors with large metal door defenders and quality round padlocks. This combination makes them virtually impossible to access with bolt croppers. The wooden doors are bolted through the door and frame.

Of course nothing can be completely secure but you would need some serious (loud) tools and determination to get in without a key! We have also worked hard to ensure good relationships with the local community, this results in neighbours phoning us when people have forgotten to lock their garage, or left the key in the padlock!

Our standard lease is a minimum of 6 months, however we can occasionally provide shorter leases in some sites. Please call us if you would like a shorter lease, but we are never able to let for less than 3 months.

Our garages range in size, but the smallest are 8ft x 16ft with a door height of 6ft 6. (that's 243cm x 487cm with a door height of 201cm. Please call us if you have specific size requirements.

Garages are single skinned buildings, and not insulated, so we do expect moisture to move through them. However we do not expect water to get into them! Before we let our garages we check them for any signs of a leak. A high percentage of our garages have new roofs. Once you rent a garage from us it becomes your responsibility to check it for any problems and report them to us. We will then work to resolve the problem.

Access is available at all hours, however we do ask that you are considerate to the local residents.

Initial payment is made by card payment (debit or credit), which we can do onsite, that is, providing you have your card with you. Otherwise if you do a bank transfer, we will need the transaction to have cleared before you can have the keys. Monthly payments are made by direct debit.

It is your responsibility to let us know if there is any sort of problem with your garage. We will then work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

We ask for one months notice. When this expires you will need to ensure the garage is empty and return the key. When we have received the key and checked the garage we will return your deposit.

The deposit is usually £150, unless you are renting one of our larger garages.

We will refund deposits when we have had one months notice that you wish to leave the garage. The garage needs to be empty and the key returned. We will then send you a cheque, or alternatively you can call into our office for the deposit.

We have public liability insurance but it is your responsibility to insure the contents. We do not accept liability for the contents in the garage. Remember that storing your motorbike/car/trailer in a garage overnight can often reduce your insurance premium.

For removals we recommend SA1 removals, furthermore if you rent a garage from us they will give you a 10% discount!
